Out of Hours Claims Handler

We know that making a claim can be a stressful time, but by having a dedicated team of Claims Professionals, our customers benefit from a seamless and efficient service for the duration of their claim.

Duties & Responsibilities

Unlike a call centre where you are continually taking inbound calls, in this role you’ll follow up on the claim which may involve dealing with Third Parties, negotiating settlements as well as taking calls from customers looking to make a claim. You'll talk and listen calmly to our customers, knowing just the right questions to ask to obtain relevant information to assist you in processing their claim. You'll enjoy taking personal responsibility for your own workload, continually reorganising and prioritising to ensure you deliver great service for our customers. With your strong work ethic, Systems Thinking approach and even stronger customer focus, you'll be able to put yourself in our customer's shoes ultimately minimising the impact of the claim to them. Your behaviours will align to our Values (Care More, Kill complexity, never rest, create legacy)

Working hours will be on average 35 hours per week. Hours to be worked between Monday – Friday 8pm to 8am and/or Saturday & Sunday between 5pm to 8am. Can be discussed in more detail at telephone interview stage.

Essential Skills and Knowledge:

* Excellent communication both written and oral together with questioning skills
* Exceptional attention to detail
* Strong negotiation and influencing skills
* The ability to listen and reason empathetically.
* A natural curiosity to identify improvements with a positive mind set and a can do approach
* Able to deliver superb customer service
* Prepared to take on challenges
* A strong drive to do the right thing for our customers
* No previous claims or insurance experience is required as full training will be provided
