National Sales Manager, Power Tools, Midlands. Up to £60,000 Basic, + Bonuses, Car and extensive benefits. This is a brilliant people management role with one of the UK's most recognised manufacturers of tools. We are simply looking for the very best Sales Manager with a track record of managing strong-willed and already successful sales staff that has a reputation for driving a team to their next level. The ideal candidate will have at least two years plus people management experience selling products into trade outlets such as builder's merchants, tool sheds, electrical wholesalers, security distributors, etc.

This is solely a people management role - leading, coordinating, training, mentoring, coaching, hiring, performance management, developing - and you do not have a personal sales remit. However, this is a very 'hands on' role where you will accompany team members on visits and shadow new staff, i.e. this is not a role for someone that wants to 'sit in their ivory tower and point!'

This vacancy is due to a strategy change where they are separating their sales teams into two teams covering different vertical markets.

This manufacturer has a reputation for high quality and is at the 'premium end' of the market where the sale is focused on quality and reliability over price.
