Experienced field based National Sales Manager, covering UK & Ireland, £50-60,000 + commission

Your new company 
We are looking for an energetic field based National Sales Manager to contribute to our company's sales objectives.  We are a market leading company specialising in a wide range of high-tech ventilation products and ducting solutions, part of a highly successful parent group with over 200 companies within its portfolio. As a forward thinking company we are always looking to develop our expertise in order to stay at the forefront of the industry.

Your new role 
You will be critical to retaining existing clients and business growth; through developing existing clients and bringing new clients on board. You will be leading the internal and field sales team, setting their targets, reviewing their performance and upskilling them where required. 

Key duties will include

  • Develop and implement effective sales strategies. Responsible for generating revenue & margin, increasing market share and strengthening the brand
  • Lead nationwide sales team members to achieve sales targets ( 2 external sales staff)
  • Establish productive and professional relationships with key personnel in assigned customer accounts
  • Negotiate and close agreements with key/large customers. Act as the single point of contact for a number of key accounts
  • Monitor and analyse performance metrics and suggest improvements
  • Prepare monthly, quarterly and annual sales forecasts
  • Perform research and identify new potential customers and new market opportunities
  • Provide timely and effective solutions aligned with clients’ need
  • Liaise with Marketing and Product Development departments to ensure brand consistency
  • Stay up-to-date with new product launches and ensure sales team members are on board
  • To maintain knowledge of, and report upwards on, new developments in the market place, especially with regard to accounts and prospects.
  • Industry knowledge desirable. 

What you'll need to succeed 
You will have relevant experience in National or Regional Sales Management roles and a proven track record of delivering against sales targets and managing field-based sales staff. Experience within HVAC sales would be highly beneficial, but more important is a professional approach to developing client relationships and delivering great service. You will have good negotiation, interpersonal and analytical skills and will be resilient under pressure to meet deadlines and targets. Good IT skills including use of Sage 200, CRMs, Barbour etc.
