My client, a manufacturer of independant living solution products, create total solutions for all access and adaptation requirements. Whether this be for kitchens, bathrooms or wet-rooms, they aim to create products that are suitable for all their client's needs.

The role of the National Sales Manager will be to manage relationships with it's current customer base as well as drive the sales team in their pursuit of their annual targets

Client Details

One of their key core values is 'attractive inclusive design', something that is claimed by many, but achieved by few. My client invests a huge amount of time, effort and money in consulting multiple organisations, to make sure that their products are not only functional and fit for purpose, but also aesthetically pleasing.

They are a nationwide distributor operating form seven strategically placed distribution centres offering a next day delivery service throughout England, Scotland & Wales. Owning a fleet of over 100 low emission commercial vehicles means they have total control from the point of raw material procurement through to finished goods deliveries at site level.

As a result of continued success within the business, they are now looking for a National Sales Manager to create further opportunities within their route-to-market; local authorities, housing associations, major construction companies and care homes. As well as looking after a team of 8 sales executives, based nationwide.


The responsibilities of the National Sales Manager:

  • To nurture and develop the current client base
  • Develop relationships with contractors, major care home developers, local authorities and housing associations
  • Manage and continue to develop a team of 8 Sales Executives
  • Visit each distribution centre and the respective executives to help manage their sales strategies and influence sales, based all over the UK
  • Travel nationally to manage relationships with key clients
  • Take responsibility of P&L for the business


The successful candidate:

  • The ideal candidate would have similar route to market experience and a ready made client list of national developers, contractors, local authorities and housing associations.
  • Have experience in gaining and developing new clients in the industry and giving presentations to high level individuals where relevant
  • They would ideally have a background in the sale of second fix products and some technical knowledge or specification experience therein.
  • They would have management experience of a team of 5 or more direct reports
  • Would have the ability to travel nationally for the role, and be able to stay away from home 2-3 days per week
  • Have experience in developing and managing P&L
  • Excellent people person with key motivational skills
  • Ability to work autonomously; from home where needed
  • Full clean driving licence
