A fantastic opportunity for a National Business Development Manager to join a leading FTSE 250 business.

The candidate can be based anywhere in the UK and will operate on a national level.

They engage and partner with more than 150,000 customers in 16 countries across Europe. They are a FTSE 250 company and in the UK they have over 9,000 employees working at 60 sites, making them a major UK employer. The business focuses on innovation and is constantly developing new products and services to better serve the changing needs of its customers and their industries in all sectors of the economy.


The responsibilities of the National Business Development Manager include:

  • Individual responsibility for sales pipeline, revenue (on strategic prospect accounts and new sites on existing customers) and the strategic direction of the allocated sector.
  • Responsible for the implementation of strategic prospect account plans.
  • Develop and maintain opportunity pipeline and provide sales and revenue forecasts. Ensure pipeline is maintained at budget or above.
  • Develop and nurture relationships with key individuals on new accounts of high importance.
  • Develop new business opportunities for their Workwear services with a particular focus on one of the following markets: Chemical Manufacturing, Nuclear Power, Utilities, Automotive, Transport, or Steel Manufacturing.


The successful National Business Development Manager should have the following profile:

  • Enthusiastic, energetic, and committed individual with a desire to achieve high results.
  • Ability to persuade and influence people at all levels and develop good working relationships.
  • Analytical, organised and structured approach to follow up.
  • High-level of presentation skills
  • A clean driving license.

Ideally exposure to selling services into one of the following sectors (though this isn't compulsory)

Chemical Manufacturing, Nuclear Power, Utilities, Automotive, Transport, or Steel Manufacturing
