The UK Retail team is a key pillar within NOW TV’s acquisition strategy, encompassing sales through retail partners such as Argos, Currys/PC World, Asda and Amazon. Our focus is on maximising in-store and on-line impact, leading with great content, to ensure customers can easily find and understand NOW TV, while at the same time helping retailers achieve their important metrics. We are constantly learning and improving, listening to our customers and consumers always. We work hard in our small retail team, and we have a lot of fun.

You will:

– Lead on a number of UK national retailers to ensure sales numbers are delivered on a weekly, quarterly and full year basis, and within budget.
– Build a strong mutually beneficial joint business plan to win vs competition. Agree joint goals, strategies and tactics, and review regularly. Ensure agreement from all levels within the customer. This will include a strong marketing plan which plays to the customer strengths, owning your marketing budget alongside a marketing manager, to maximise impact in-store and online. A good understanding of marketing levers is key.
– Measure ROI regularly to ensure future activities are based on historical findings. Being confident with numbers, margin, spend, and percentages is critical.
– Grow small retailers to be a bigger part of NOW TV, whilst exploring new routes to market.
– Work within a small team to ensure everyone is on the same journey, aligned on goals and strategies to get there. At the same time, you will need to build relationships across the wider Now TV business to deliver your plans and raise the profile of the retail channel.
– Manage a Junior Account Manager, helping them grow within the business whilst supporting you and the team in delivering our goals and strategies.
– Manage our 3rd party field team agency, McCurrach, working closely with the Account Director to ensure the team help us execute agreed plans in stores. This should take up c.30% of the role. Managing the field team and being an Account Manager will require you managing your diary to maximise your efficiency, with time out in retail stores, with our field team, at retailer head offices, at team meetings and in the Osterley HO.
– Manage the admin process required to ensure activities are approved, invoices are paid on time, contracts are in place, and generally ensure good admin for a smooth running of the business.

You’ll have:

– Experience within the retail channel. A deep understanding of the marketing levers required to drive sales. Ideally you are currently an Account Manager in an FMCG business with a strong brand and now looking to step up to take a more lead role in a culture which empowers you to deliver success.
– A good knowledge of the role of a field team and ways to maximise their efficiency in a retail environment.
– A commercial and target driven thought process, passionate about building plans to exceed stretch goals, being persistent and innovative to build ideas and execute against those to deliver your numbers no matter what. You will be able to persuade and influence through data insights business cases.
– A real attention to detail, having a personal pride to deliver work to a high standard, ahead of schedule. This includes basic admin as well as more challenging, exciting projects. A natural style to get stuff done at a fast pace when required.
– Great interpersonal skills, able to build effective relationships with different internal and external partners of all levels.
– An ability to learn, to not be limited by the JD, to ‘put your hand up’ for new opportunities. A natural curiousness.
– Good planning and organisation, able to balance multiple tasks simultaneously to carry them through effectively so tasks are completely on time and to a high standard, knowing how to prioritise and when to shout for help.
– Enthusiasm, positivity and ambition. A desire to do your best, always. Work ethic is important, having high personal standards even more important. This will support your ambition to progress either through NOW TV or the wider Sky business. You will have a desire to stretch yourself outside of your comfort zone on a regular basis.
