We currently have a great opportunity for you to join our local Advertising Sales team as a Multimedia Field Sales Executive here at The Basingstoke Gazette & Andover Advertiser. Based in our Basingstoke office, you will have the opportunity to work on a locally recognised range of newspapers selling advertising to local retail companies.

WHAT YOU WILL BE DOING
As a Multimedia Field-sales Executive you will be part of our busy and vibrant Advertising Sales teams. You will play a fundamental role in ensuring the continued success and reputation that we pride ourselves on working with customers both face-to-face and over the telephone. You will have the opportunity to work on locally recognised publications we produce for the North Hampshire region.
Your role will consist of B2B calls & visits to the local businesses, and selling advertising space in our digital and print publications, which include our local newspaper titles and glossy high-end magazines, across an assigned territory. All our roles have a specific focus; to which we currently have opportunities selling advertising to property/estate agent businesses, as well as an opportunity to work with local retail companies.
Both New Business Development & Account Management plays an essential part in this role, whereby you will be liaising with new and existing clients managing their expectations and accounts to ensure that a positive relationship is maintained at all contact points. This will involve accurately reporting data, generating repeat custom and upselling where possible. Being consultative in your sales approach is crucial to this job.
Due to the nature of the role it is crucial that you are enthusiastic, driven and value building good client relationships. Previous experience in B2B sales is ideal in relation to the responsibilities and time management necessary. Multimedia experience is an advantage with a focus on print and digital preferred, however we will look at good B2B sales experience in other industries.
You will be targeted on effective meetings with customers (amongst other KPI’s), and this is an area of experience we would look for you to discuss your successes in.
