create the homes they want. Join us as a Marketing Executive (POS) and you’ll help us speak to all
these customers, all across the country.

Role
Purpose:

The role of Marketing Executive for POS sits across both the Range
Review POS team and Trading POS team and delivers product launches and seasonal
campaigns across the UK and Ireland. You will be responsible for creating the
point of sale (POS) that meets the needs of the marketing proposition in-store.

Role
Objectives:

• Understand how the customer shops and how to communicate effectively
across various messaging touch points

• Recommend POS solutions to support our Products and Services

• Demonstrate experience of what works and what doesn’t from in aisle
communications to large format displays and installations

• Coordinate multiple inputs from multiple stakeholders to form a
creative brief

• Manage the creative brief process with our internal design studio
and from time to time external partners

• Completing print briefs and obtaining quotes to ensure B&Q is
operating with the most cost effective and efficient solutions

• Project manage the end to end process, including print briefs,
managing production timelines, content and assets, budgets and stakeholder management

• Ensure the creative is on brand and within the brand guidelines

• Share when applicable any content or creative development with
Customer & Marketing team colleagues to drive integration and consistency
across channels

• Co-ordinate the setup and installation for store colleagues or VM
teams

• Rectify any issues or errors quickly and communicate any resolution
to wider teams including the product category teams and retail operation teams

• Visit stores and competitor stores regularly to monitor success of
POS and ensure industry best practice.

Knowledge
and Experience Required:

• Demonstrates a passion for retail and the customer

• Has an understanding of customer journeys in bricks-and-mortar
retail and how to develop omni-channel communications

• Can demonstrate using customer insights and data to inform the
creation of marketing communications

• Understands how to make home improvement more accessible, and how to
communicate in our stores in a way that helps build customer loyalty and
incremental sales

• Strong stakeholder management and relationship building skills.

• Well organised and can prioritise the work load to meet the relevant
needs of the business

• Resilient and adaptable to change with regards to timescales and
briefs
