What do the team do?

Our business sales vision is to become the communications platform of choice by 2020, turning our customers into fans. The enterprise sales strategy is to focus on key market segments (creating practices) and delivering transformational Business solutions that grow our customers’ revenue and reduce their costs.

Managing partners will provide the leadership and market expertise to deliver our vision and the practice models that will allow Telefonica to succeed.

How will you fit into this?

As Managing Partner, you will be responsible for the overall operational performance of the Construction, Engineering & Utilities Practice team based across the UK. Although this role is responsible for the day to day management of the Construction, Engineering & Utilities Team, you will retain responsibility for setting the strategic direction for the sales team and will provide them with technical/operational coaching and mentoring.

Aside from your leadership responsibilities, you will also support the Head of Private Sector Sales in developing and implementing the overall O2 B2B strategy.

This role operates as a very strong number two position within the Enterprise Sales team structure managing a team of roughly 10 reports and a large Indirect team.

Key Responsibilities:

* Day to day management of the Construction, Engineering & Utilities Practice team:

* Ensure that the Construction, Engineering & Utilities Practice team is appropriately structured, resourced and has the capability to meet the demands of the Company growth plans.

* Provide appropriate leadership and direction in line with the Private Sector Head of Sales vision for the Construction, Engineering & Utilities Practice function. Responsible for effective team motivation, incentivisation, performance management, career development and retention.

* Responsible for overseeing the complete team and successfully identifying structural, systems, corrective actions and process changes to achieve one high performing team.

* Responsible for co-developing team performance targets with the Head of Sales and tracking sales performance and service provision against these.

* Lead team in strategic / complex sales opportunities and responsible for ensuring the team sales targets are met overall.

* Advises team on direction for new enterprise customer opportunities through sharing of in depth industry trends/products and services knowledge.

* Overall responsibility for sales pipeline management, sales cycles and sales forecasting and reporting.

* Responsible for creation, implementation and execution of Construction, Engineering & Utilities Sector Strategy.

* Acts as a customer champion focusing on Customer Satisfaction and Sales excellence to ensure customer retention and growth of existing customer requirements

* Proactively represent the Construction, Engineering & Utilities Practice with colleagues throughout the organization including C-Suite to ensure end-to-end customer service excellence.

* To undertake such other duties relevant to the position and as agreed with the Head of Private Sector Sales.

* Ultimate responsibility for delivering the Why O2 message within the wider marketplace by networking, social media, speaking events and evangelising our story.

What we`re looking for:

To be successful in this role you`ll have experience working within as a sales leader within the Telecommunications industry. We`re also interested in the following skills/experience...

* Strong background in and knowledge of the Engineering, Construction and/or Utilities Sector

* Demonstrable commercial acumen and ownership of significant P&L’

* Sales management experience setting strategy, business plans and propositions

* Clear appreciation of accurate forecasting and pipeline
