crucial that this comes across in everything we do. Role Summary The Finance team here at Abel & Cole are currently 10 strong and are in the midst of undertaking some truly

exciting projects to streamline how we do things. These projects are scheduled for the coming year and in that

time we are looking for someone to come in and help with the day to day running of our financial operations.

Reporting to the Assistant Financial Controller, you will provide key support within the Finance department,

sharing the responsibility for the month end accounts prior to review, supporting the team in meeting

deadlines and helping with the transformation of our finance departments systems through upgrades and

implementation. There is a huge amount of variety within this role and you will have a dedicated, passionate

team to help support you with what needs to get done. Not to mention you will get to work in our amazing

head office based in Wimbledon where organic goodies are bountiful! If you are looking for a challenging role

in relaxed environment then read on to find out more: Here’s what you’ll be getting up to:  Assist in the preparation of the month end accounts to trial balance, ready for review.  Reconciliation of some balance sheet accounts.  Ownership of VAT and Intrastat reconciliations and reporting.  Completion of the business critical weekly margin report on a rota basis.  Managing one member of the team.  Actively supporting the development of MS Dynamics AX use within the department.  Actively supporting the implementation of Concur expense management app.  Completion of National Statistics returns.  Setting up spreadsheets for monthly and quarterly reporting.  Checking and approving payment runs and payroll.  Providing cover as needed to all accounting functions.  Assisting with year-end close and annual audits.
Here’s what we are looking for:  Excellent team player.  Energetic and enthusiastic.  Experience of finalising P&L costs and reconciling balance sheet accounts.  Experience of VAT and Intrastat reporting.

 Ability and confidence to work with different accounting software packages and to develop team
processes to improve efficiency.  Confident in Microsoft Excel.  Confident communicator.  Has the tenacity to investigate and resolve complex queries.  Logical and systematic when working with great attention to detail.  Has a flexible attitude and is able to respond well to pressure and changing priorities.
What we offer  This is a full-time position as we want to spend lots of time with your wonderful self – 37.5 per

week with a degree of flexibility offered.  Our Wimbledon based office is easily accessible by public transport and road.  33 days inclusive of bank holidays running from the 1st May to 30th April.  A free box of fruit and veg every week (It’s pretty delicious!) alongside company discount of up to
