Key Account Manager – Fixings & Fastenings

Job Title: Key Account Manager – Fixings & Fastenings

Industry Sector: Key Accounts, Major Accounts, Key Account Management, Fixings, Fastenings, Wall Insulation, Render, Manufacturers, Insulation, Specification, Architects, Contractors, Construction, Main Contractors, Sub Contractors

Area to be covered: National                                              Ideally based: M1 Corridor

Remuneration: £45,000 neg + £12,000 bonus    

Benefits: Company Car and exceptional benefits package

The role of the Key Account Manager – Fixings & Fastenings will involve:

·         Field sales position selling a high end range of manufactured fixings & fastenings for general, insulation, cavity, scaffold, sanitary and frame applications

·         All of your time will be spend managing major projects and key accounts nationally

·         Working with big main and sub-contractors for example: Morgan Sindall, Bouygues and BAM Nuttall

·         50% of your time will be spent managing major projects, with the remaining 50% spent developing key accounts

·         Developing sales plans to achieve successful profit margin, market share and account penetration

·         Working on major projects with a total worth of circa £500m

·         Typical major projects would include for example HS2 and Hinkley point

·         Working alongside the UK Technical Sales Manager to strategies the best way to successfully tackle the market

The ideal applicant will be Key Account Manager – Fixings & Fastenings with:

·         Must have key account experience with major main and sub-contractors

·         Must have a minimum of 5 years construction field sales

·         Ideally have experience in sales of related products such as fixings or insulation products however not essential

·         Experience within the concrete market sector advantageous however no essential

·         Ideally have site testing experience

·         Able to both manage and expand existing relationships and generating new business relationships

·         Commercially astute, professional, organised

·         Solution based sales approach, positive, professional and customer service orientated

·         Group turnover circa €800 million

·         UK Turnover Circa £18 million
