Job Title: Key Account Manager – Fixings & Anchors

Area to be covered: Midlands & Wales (focus on Birmingham)

Ideally based: 1 hour from Birmingham

Remuneration: £35,000 - £50,000 + uncapped commission giving circa £10,000 on top

Benefits: company car & full benefits package

The role of the Key Account Manager – Fixings & Anchors will involve:

·         Key account manager position, selling a high quality manufactured range of fixings, anchors and consumable products

·         All of your time will be spent selling directly to large main contractors such as: Bouygues, Vinci, Galliford Try, Kier Group, Balfour Beatty, BAM, Skanska, Mace, Willmott Dixon and more

·         Will be focusing on targeting the decision makers / buyers within the large main contractors

·         Will be required to have strong project management skills as you will be working on large projects such as Hinckley Point and HS2

·         Will be targeted on KPIs relating to activity and the on growth of fixings and anchors sales predominantly

·         Once up and running in the 2nd / 3rd year you will be expected to turnover £1m on your territory

·         Will spend a large portion of your time on site

·         Provide technical support in training new members of the team

·         Dealing with a wide range of order values depending on products and project sizes

·         Regular contact with direct line manager and sales team to provide support and solutions

The ideal applicant will be Key Account Manager – Fixings & Anchors with:

·         Must have a construction field sales experience selling a technical related product such as: fixings, anchors, consumable products, fastenings, diamond cutting etc

·         Must have sold to large main contractors such as: Bouygues, Vinci, Galliford Try, Kier Group, Balfour Beatty, BAM, Skanska, Mace, Willmott Dixon and more

·         Would consider someone working in a project manager position or selling to a smaller customer base with strong technical qualification

·         Ideally have a qualifications or equivalent experience in structural engineering, civil engineering or mechanical engineering

·         Ideally have contacts within the related industry

·         An understanding of the current market, market trends and the ensuring the business remains ahead of its competitors

·         Ideally have strong commercial business to business experience 

·         Excellent communication and computer skills

·         A hungry go-getter who is eager to exceed targets and maximise profit
