Hays Sales is proud to be working in partnership with Clipper UK who are the exclusive distributor for all Clipper products throughout the UK and Northern Ireland, with direct supply to major multiple retail and the wholesale cash & carry sectors, as well as supply to distribution partners in the independent wholesale sector.
Due to continued growth and success they are looking to recruit a Key Account Manager to join their team in Basildon, Essex which is a key and pivotal appointment to help continue to drive product sales and business performance.
Your role will be to support and manage key clients, focusing on building on the existing relationships and seeking new sales opportunities. Reporting to the Sales Manager you will be responsible for managing key accounts across the organisation. You will also assist in winning new accounts and develop relationships with new and existing customers, business partners and colleagues throughout the industry. As such, you will form an integral part of the business strategy, responsible for forecasting sales, revenue and profit expectations, for both new and existing accounts, ensuring the organisation exceeds its targets.
You will be a sales professional and degree educated or equivalent with a background in sales and managing key accounts. You will also have experience of working within a similar industry and have experience in negotiating with wholesalers or large accounts. Candidates who have experience of working within the large consumer sector, massive distribution, confectionary sector, smoking industry etc will be highly advantageous.
You will be a fantastic communicator, both written and verbal, a passion for excellent customer service. Be highly organised and an excellent multi tasker. A pro-active and flexible approach, with the ability to work independently or as part of a team, managing and prioritising a varied workload. Be willing and flexible to travel across the UK (1-2 days per week) and have a full clean driving licence.
You will be commercially aware and have the gravitas to win the respect and confidence of colleagues across the organisation. Sales driven, well presented and organised and have the ability to build key relationships both internally and externally.
