Excellent opportunity to join a market leading business as a Junior National Account Manager , the role would involve full autonomy of national accounts and exceptional training and progression.

Client Details

My client is a global £2.5 billion business who own a number of market leading brands within the nursery and baby industry. They are still privately owned and in the last 5 years have doubled growth and have some ambitious growth plans for the next 5 years. You will find these much loved brands in all of the grocer accounts along with nursery and baby boutiques and the likes of mothercare and Argos. With headquarters based on the borders of Hertfordshire and north London this should be an office accessible to many.


As a Junior National Account Manager you will be tasked with driving the full P&L management of selection within key customers and the development of new business, and the emphasis will very much be on you to show how you can deliver and profitably grow the business.

  • Ability to Network & Influence throughout the Retail Matrix Space (Supply, Marketing, Finance)
  • Application of Category Management; influence the necessary strategies to deliver category/profit growth by delivery to the consumer needs
  • Drive distribution of existing and new products within the given account portfolio and prospect account list and in full alignment with the company's strategies
  • Deliver KPI's for each retailer, and that annual goals are achieved including turnover, GM and promotional spend.
  • Manage product mix to maximise margin
  • Manage effective communication of Brand & Category Solutions


Junior National Account Manager

Relevant Candidates will already be operating at Key Account, buyer or managerial Field Sales level. They will possess Consumer Durable, FMCG or Retail experience and will fully appreciate the current challenges facing suppliers within a "tough" retail market. Ideally candidates will have some level of exposure to multiple retailers in the market and will be confident translating intellectually robust Commercial Strategies.

The candidate needs to have the capability to progress further within the business as it continues to expand. My client has a clear structure for people development and this role is a spring board to more senior customer development roles.
