Position Title: Junior Account Executive

Position: Permanent

Role Summary:

Reuters Content Solutions is seeking an enthusiastic, energetic and focused individual to support a growing business and robust sales team. The ideal candidate possesses a strong understanding of pre and post sales, experience with direct client interaction, and knowledge of digital media (incl. programmatic) as well as content marketing. The candidate must be extremely motivated with an eagerness to support, learn and collaborate with the entire team in an effort to execute stellar content marketing programs, programmatic solutions and proactively attract new business.

Major Responsibilities/ Accountabilities:

The Junior Account Executive’s primary responsibility is to support the sales team by helping to prepare media plans and presentations for prospects. They will research and analyse new opportunities for Account Managers to pursue, foster effective relationships with external contacts as well as maintain and upsell existing accounts. The Junior Account Executive will develop and manage client relationships to ultimately drive revenue growth. This entry sales role has the opportunity to be a direct pathway to a full-quota carrying Account Manager position.

This person will also participate and contribute in outbound efforts, research category activity, and discover opportunities in secondary verticals. The Junior Account Executive should be able to establish their own relationships with associates at advertising agencies and brands in the effort to help sign on new clients, strengthen our business and expand the footprint for the Reuters Content Solutions division.

Key Relationships:

The candidate will create and maintain close internal relationships with Sales, Editorial, Product and Design as well as leveraging existing pan-regional client relationships.

Technical/ Professional Skills & Competencies:

Essential Skills & Experience Required:

* Experience in digital media – at an agency, news publisher or within a brand
* Previous digital sales or customer-centric work experience
* A "hunter" with the desire to track down new leads and opportunities
* Ability to act entrepreneurially within a large corporation
* Ability to work in a fast-paced, changing environment with willingness to be flexible
* Strong customer service skills – a calm, direct approach to clients and colleagues alike
* Ability to manage multiple projects at once and deliver high-quality work under tight deadlines
* Demonstrated talent for consultative thinking and spotting trends, in digital media and society
* Excellent time management skills
* Exceptional verbal and written communication skills, including presentations, and with a strong attention to detail
* A creative thinker who will work closely with the whole team to develop custom programs based on client needs
* Thorough knowledge of MS Office with proficiency in PowerPoint and Excel
* An interest in news, digital media, sales, marketing and emerging technologies and trends

Desired Skills:

* Additional languages
* Experience in international advertising markets

Education/ Certifications:

* Bachelors degree level education desirable
