Position Title: International Business Development Executive

Position Type: Fixed Term Contract

Role Summary
To drive the sales of our online product suite within the UK and International Regions as assigned by the Sales Manager. A combination of content and software solutions

Role Description
As a member of the Corporate Sales Team, the focus is on achieving sales excellence in order to meet or exceed targets through the fulfilment of the sales strategy and to develop accounts in the marketplace.

The role primarily requires a constant level of contact with our internal partners and external client base, the focus being on developing new business opportunities from new clients who are potentially embedded with competitors. You will create relationships with key contacts and look to broaden Thomson Reuters’ impact, access and revenue from each organisation. You will create, manage and close a pipeline of new business opportunities from the initial lead creation through to providing the agreed solution to the new client. This will require a high level of consultative work with potential subscribers.

The role has a high profile within Thomson Reuters Legal and success will open significant opportunities within the business as well as ensuring development on an individual basis. The role is therefore best suited to highly motivated individuals who are ambitious for personal success.

Due to the flexible nature of the services we provide there are many opportunities that are non-core and the role therefore requires the individual to be a strategic thinker, commercial in outlook with a strong ability to pioneer.

The role also requires total account handling skills, good time management and good organisational skills.

Key Responsibilities & Accountabilities

* Plan and prioritise personal sales activities and customer/prospect contact towards achieving agreed business aims
* Maintain excellent sales process methodology and communication
* Plan and manage personal business portfolio & territory according to an agreed market development strategy
* Manage and own a sales pipeline which consistently delivers above expectation results
* Manage product & service mix, pricing and sales according to commercially agreed aims
* Maintain and develop existing and new customers through appropriate propositions and ethical sales methods, and relevant internal liaison, to optimise quality of service, business growth, and customer satisfaction
* Use customer and prospect contact activities tools and systems, and update relevant information held in these systems
* Plan, carry out & support local marketing activities to agreed budgets and timescales, and integrate personal sales efforts with other organized marketing activities, e.g., product launches, promotions, advertising, exhibitions and telemarketing and good organisational skills.

* Attend and present at external customer meetings and internal meetings with other company functions necessary to perform duties and aid business development
* Attend training and to develop relevant knowledge, techniques and skills

* Conduct oneself in a highly professional and ethical manner, adopting behaviours that enhance the reputation of the company

* Working with other business units and Sales Managers on projects and collaborations as required.
