Internal Sales Manager – Fixings, Fastenings & Power Tools

Job Title: Internal Sales Manager - Fixings, Fastenings & Power Tools

Must be based: Glasgow

Remuneration: £25,000 - £30,000 + 25% bonus & comprehensive benefits package

The role of the Internal Sales Manager – Fixings, Fastenings & Power Tools will involve:

·         Internal sales position selling a high quality range of fixings, fastenings, power tools, power tool accessories, hand tools and building consumables

·         Working in conjunction with the field sales rep

·         All of your of your time will be spent managing accounts and selling directly to main contractors, sub-contractors, specialist sub-contractors, consultants and engineers

·         Dealing with all incoming enquiries from new and existing customers

·         Dealing with average order values ranging from £5k-£500k

·         Will have a monthly target set by Head of Internal Sales

·         Will be required to deal with any delivery issues 

·         Deal with technical issues where possible

·         Being comfortable identifying the wants/needs of a client and therefore selling the appropriate products

·         Attending the relevant training courses to ensure that you have an understanding of the market

The ideal applicant will be Internal Sales Manager – Fixings, Fastenings & Power Tools with:

·         Must have experience in sales / customer service ideally in an internal sales, sales executive, customer service role currently in the construction industry (would consider outside of the industry if you have good sales experience)

·         Ideally have experience using WMS systems

·         Ideally have knowledge and previous experience selling fixings, fastenings, power tools, power tool accessories, hand tools, building consumables or related products

·         A hungry go-getter who is eager to exceed targets and maximise profit

·         Demonstrate a keenness to quickly gain knowledge of business processes and procedures

·         Strong listening and communication skills

·         Strong self-motivational skills

·         Ability to work with minimal supervision
