Internal Sales Executive, FMCG, Products into Retailers. £20,000 Basic, plus benefits and uncapped Commission (circa £24K OTE in Year One) and opportunities to progress into Field Sales within two years, based in Trowbridge, Wiltshire. This is a brilliant opportunity for a dynamic, vibrant, forward thinking sales executive looking for a challenge within the consumer goods industry. This opportunity offers a clear and defined career path, mapped out from day one, and based upon your success there is very realistic scope for the role to develop into the Team Leader within 12 months or, alternatively take your career into field sales.

To apply for the role, you will be unfazed by making calls, developing relationships, sending samples, following up and closing. The role is predominantly selling into independent retailers and trade customers - usually the owner-proprietor and as such you will be a terrific relationship builder and competitive by nature.

You will possess proven business to business sales experience, and although a large part of the role will be account management, you must be unafraid of making initial introductory calls. However, it is a 'soft' relationship-based sale to introduce the products, understand the challenges of the retailer/trade wholesaler and close meetings for the field sales team. For smaller orders there you will also send through samples and follow these up for closure over the 'phone.

To be successful, you will be an intelligent, confident, hardworking individual that wants to learn and develop. You will enjoy being part of a busy, thriving team and possess excellent communication skills.

You will be of graduate calibre, personable, credible and possess solid negotiation skills. In this role, you are targeted on 'quality rather than quantity' and the calls are not scripted in any way. Your approach will be relaxed and engaging, and your style will be to quickly establish rapport, 'fact find' and naturally build relationships to the next stage by following a proven business development process.

The ideal candidate will have a stable CV and be able to provide evidence of their sales achievements. You will be looking for a long-term role with the prospects to develop into team management within 12 to 18 months, or alternatively, field sales.

This role will be based in the Trowbridge office, and the working hours are 9 am to 5 pm with no weekend work.
