About this role

We are looking for an experienced Senior Sales Manager to join our North & Midlands Sales Team covering various strategic major accounts within the private sector.

Our team consists of highly experienced professionals that help our most strategic customers define and address their most complex technological and business challenges. We focus on the outcome and impact to our client needs and develop strong relationships to forge new opportunities.

We need you to identify and target new opportunities within an already established base of accounts, accelerating the key objectives for our clients through technology, driving our partners and support functions to further enhance the experience of our clients and deliver business outcomes that increase customer satisfaction.

Your experience and knowledge will help deliver a step change in our approach and capability - from early engagement with clients, through internal bid management to reviewing success - you will be pivotal in setting the agenda for our clients and also for our own business, in a way that enables us to increase our market share in the most efficient and effective way.

Supported by a team of specialists, solution architects, service designers, product managers, and bid resource, you will have all the means required to be a highly successful addition to the public sector team.

You'll have the following responsibilities

* Creating and maintaining customer development plans and sales performance of the team that is critical to the delivery of the sub-region sales strategy and plans; financial measures (Revenue, EBITDA, SOVGM) and non–financial measures (KPIs, NPS, Your Say)
* Developing and executing BT’s strategy as a partner in the Major customer group owned by this role, influencing externally on key national strategic matters, such as HS2 and response to COVID-19
* Setting customer engagement plan for the team and manages across Service, Customer Solutions, Sales Enablement and Contract Management to drive excellent customer experience and NPS improvements
* Working with other stakeholders across Enterprise to ensure customer engagement plans are implemented
* Using sales reporting, analytics and commercial insights to drive continual improvement for the best KPI outcomes
* Driving subject matter expertise amongst the account management and business development colleagues

You'll have the following skills & experience

* Sales management experience in Telco or Technology sectors with proven ability to build sales teams
* Ability to lead, influence, develop, drive and motivate at an operational and tactical level
* Strong track record of effective selling and relationship building with large corporate organisations in the UK
* Ability to deliver on business objectives and stretching sales targets, improving results through performance management and coaching creating an operating environment where people want to achieve outstanding results and are highly engaged.
* Ability to use insight to make strategic and agile operational decisions enabling the team to win, develop and retain profitable business.
* Experience of driving virtual teams to deliver necessary business results
