The UK Head of Sales will develop existing and new relationships across UK Space customers. As an integral part of the team you will develop and implement a strategy and action plan to drive success.

My client is a leading technical solutions provider of mission critical systems used in Space applications; they are able to deliver levels of performance, service and resilience that have been previously unmatched in the industry. This fast growing segment has an expanding customer base which they are keen to capitalise further.

Description

The UK Head of Sales - Space will:

  • Be responsible for developing business propositions and executing new business by selling into the Space segment.
  • Achieve personal and team sector revenue targets.
  • Develop and deliver sales plans that optimise the win probability and allow tracking and simple stakeholder engagement;
  • Build strategic relationships with customers, through a proactive, solution-sales approach;
  • Maintain and develop multi-level contacts to a senior level;
  • Assist with the Identification and evaluation of competitive activity in the target markets; looking at market size, and best route to ensure maximum growth and strategic positioning for Space division; Assist with identifying service development or product improvements.

Profile

The UK Head of Sales - Space will have:

  • Significant demonstrable track record and working knowledge of Space and/or defence sector;
  • Knowledge of the global space sector; including markets, key corporations and company structures;
  • Proven sales history in developing major corporate accounts and ability to work proactively to create and develop new business in a highly motivated team environment;
  • Strong ability to communicate and interact with people within the team, across the business, particularly in marketing and operations, as well as with customers and prospects;
  • Ability to work at all levels ranging from technical engineer to board level;
  • Working knowledge of the technical aspects of electronics with space shuttle programs.
  • Experience of taking early stage projects and driving them through to success with energy and vision.
  • Negotiation skills practised in international markets;
  • Confident and personable with excellent presentation skills;
  • Excellent written, numerical and verbal communications skills in English.
