Group Protection Team Manager


We have an exciting opportunity within Group Protection Administration in Norwich for a C grade Systems Thinking Leader to lead a team of between 9 and 12 people.

The role should appeal to individuals who are looking for a challenge and relish working in a customer service environment. You would be leading a team delivering an exceptional service to mainly financial advisers, where the primary demands are via email and telephone.

Key responsibilities:

* Spend time in the work with your team, understand the nature of the demand hitting the system, how the system works and take appropriate action on the system
* Develop and support your team to enable them to improve their knowledge, remove waste, whilst encouraging them to pull support where necessary
* Understand what really matters to the customer, support your team to deliver to the customer in line with the area purpose and principles
* Ensure the measures in place are driving the right behaviours
* Facilitate, support, guide and enable your team to create value for the customer
* Continually react to the system, ensure processes go through a test and learn process, understanding the impact on capacity
* Understand the causes of variation and the impact on the overall capacity of the team
* Ensure your team have the right level of versatility to cover all demands coming into your team
* Share changes/improvements with area and constructively challenge others suggestions
* Ensure decisions about the work are made in the work
* Add value to the organisation by considering value for customers and shareholders through balanced decisions
