Global Account Director- London and Oxford and Remote Working

Innovative healthcare agency working in the global development, international pharmaceuticals, and life sciences sectors, is now looking for an experienced Global Account Director to play a key role within their growing team and to take the lead on key global accounts.

The Role

The Global Account Director is responsible for managing and maximizing business results from assigned global accounts. This role is responsible for developing relationships and effective solutions for revenue growth, retention, and customer satisfaction, to achieve the assigned sales, volume, and financial targets.

The role holder will proactively work with clients, internal account, and project teams to oversee the delivery of a range of multi-tasking and communications projects. The role would suit a candidate who takes initiative and is motivated to drive and develop the business. Using your project management and account management skills and scientific expertise you will deliver a range of scientific services to clients, including medical education and medical communication materials. You will be responsible for maintaining and developing excellent client relations and guaranteeing client satisfaction by meeting and surpassing their needs.

Role Responsibilities

Ensure the overall delivery and implementation of projects to the highest quality, in line with the project brief and the allocated budget

Monitor and manage the team to ensure delivery of projects to timescales, quality and within budget

Identify new business opportunities both with existing and new clients

Develop and participate in new business presentations

Oversee and support delivery across a range of projects from apps to desktop and mobile enabled web platforms

Oversee and support the production of project scopes, functional specifications, project timescales, risks and assumptions, as well as the resource requirements for the successful completion of digital and scientific projects

Strong commercial acumen, and comfortable with developing budgets and project estimates

Individual with drive and ambition, and sound leadership skills to motivate and develop the team

Essential Skills and Requirements

A life sciences degree or PhD

At least three years previous experience, working in a similar healthcare communications agency role on global communications accounts

Ability to build strong client relationships and attend meetings as required

A self-starter with ambition to grow the business

Strong commercial acumen and financial management skills with the ability to drive new business opportunities

Ability to develop, lead and deliver across a range of projects and therapy areas

Strong presentation skills

Excellent written and verbal communication skills with a good eye for detail

Creative problem-solving skills

Ability to deliver projects on time and to budget and across multiple teams

Experience of putting together and managing budgets

Ability to lead and manage designated account teams - including writers, project management, digital and design teams

Experience in managing meetings (conferences, symposia, satellite meetings, events etc.)

The role is full-time. The Company operate a remote working policy.
