Gas Registered Technical Sales Surveyor. Hertfordshire, Bedfordshire.
£30,000 Basic salary, £60,000 OTE (uncapped) + Company Car and additional contributions to developing the business further will also be rewarded. Covering East Hertfordshire, Bedfordshire, North London

This is a technical sales surveying role for a leading gas installation firm that requires either

  • A qualified gas registered engineer that is either currently in a sales role or
  • A gas engineer with natural communication skills and a great personality that has always wanted to get into sales.

All leads are generated by their 'marketing machine', and all appointments are made for you with the leads already having gone through a substantial qualification process.

Your role is to understand the client's needs, undertake a preliminary site survey and necessary measurements, propose solutions, provide a quotation and ultimately 'handhold' the client through their buying process to order.

The company pride themselves on their technical expertise and consultative approach. Please note that sales mavericks will not be considered.

The role also involves managing the pipeline and liaising with the installation team throughout the project, remaining the 'face of the company' should there be any installation issues.

You will be used to managing a reasonably large area and effectively working to a two-week plan to cover the region adequately. You will commonly attend between ten to twenty qualified meetings per week.

So, what's needed?

* A proven certified and registered gas engineer with the ability to undertake basic site surveys with associated measurements and basic drawings.

* A great communicator that can quickly build credible relationships with customers.

* A self-motivated and driven individual with a positive outlook that is always looking to learn new skills.

* An ability to effectively plan a patch so that your 'face time' with clients is maximised

* Good understanding of essential software. A CRM system is used very well in this business.

* An individual that is professional, well rounded, well presented with a reasonably clean driving license
