This is very much a strategic role as a partner and a trusted advisor to the key stakeholders across San Services providing data insights across all aspects of the financials to support the business in the delivery of all their commitments and deliverables.

The role is responsible for acting as the link between the Businesses, the Central Finance function, Procurement and Organisation while balancing the priorities and requirements of the Bank versus the Business area and to clearly articulate the challenges.

We’re passionate about helping people and businesses prosper and we strive to be simple, personal and fair in everything we do. That’s why we’ve built a culture of respect, where everyone is empowered to keep their promises and go above-and-beyond for our customers, colleagues and the communities we serve.

As a Finance Business Partner your main responsibilities will be

* Analysis of business performance against budget / forecast / prior year, including review of FTE and growth impacts on the Banks costs.

* Producing budgets and forecasts alongside regular risk & opportunity analysis

* Reporting on financial performance to key stakeholders both within Finance and in the Business

* Providing professional cost management advice and support to senior stakeholders

* Ensuring business performance is reported accurately in the general ledger (e.g. ledger postings, budget transfers)

Minimum skills and experience required

* Qualified accountant (ACCA, ACA or CIMA) or significant experience in working in a Finance / cost function.

* Experience of developing and maintaining effective relationships with senior stakeholders within and outside of Finance.

* High capability levels in analysis and interpretation of data, being able to draw succinct and meaningful conclusions.

* Strong communication skills with the confidence to challenge the business and processes where appropriate.

* Highly numerate, with strong attention to detail, thoroughness and accuracy.
