2019 is going to be a big year for us, and Export is going to play a major part in our growth - particularly into Europe and North America.
Reporting to the Business Development Director, and working with the commercial sales and marketing teams, this is a pivotal role where you will be responsible for managing our current customers including major retailers, distributors and agents. But, just as importantly, you will be developing further sales opportunities and creating the Export strategy across the European and North American regions.
Honestly, we lack the Export experience within our current Sales team hence the need for someone with existing knowledge and understanding of this particular channel. We aren't expecting a black book of contacts, what we need is the savvy and the strategic approach to develop the huge potential of these 2 markets for us. But you will also need to a very hands on, "roll the sleeves up" type character, still able to knock on the door of a potential distributor as well as developing relationships with major European or American retailers.
We are looking for a candidate who has a demonstrable background in Export sales success within a branded FMCG food or drink business. We do appreciate there are lots of different International sales people out there but the understanding of our customer base is really important to us and will make the transition very much easier. In addition, you will be able to spot opportunities that will increase sales and profitability. You will be an action orientated Export Account Manager, a self-starter with a proven ability to make things happen and used to working autonomously and somewhat remotely.
