Our client is looking to hire an Event Sales Manager to develop new business opportunities and sales strategies in London their London venue.

Client Details

They're one of London's most iconic venues which has been operational for almost 90 years. They host a range of events from weekly recurring events to corporate private hire, weddings and other private functions, located only minutes away from the West-End and the City.

They are currently in a period of growth after having a strong 2017 and have a great 2018 in the pipeline so this is an excellent time to join.

Description

The new Event Sales Manager's role is to be responsible for sales and business growth and provide end to end event management.

Duties will include:

  • Creating sales strategies and delivering the sales plan across the business

  • Bringing in new business, as well as nurturing and developing existing client relationships

  • Creating bespoke proposals and providing post-event analysis and feedback

  • Driving the corporate bookings, room-hire and full venue hire

  • Growing the business through proactive selling and networking

  • Organising and executing venue showcase events, ensuring the attendance of key clients such as events agencies and corporate bookers, as well as local businesses

  • Identifying new revenue streams

  • Working with PR, graphic designers and other agents on the promotion of the business

  • Weekly reporting of sales & key metrics to directors

  • Co-managing the Event coordinator and bookings team

Profile

The successful Event Sales Manager needs to have

  • Experience in proactive sales in the events industry in London

  • Experience in hospitality venues

  • Proven track record and knowledge in the London evening/nightlife events market

  • Have a passion for customer service

  • Ability to manage own time effectively

  • Confident and natural at networking

  • Excellent communication and writing skills

  • Strong connections within the London events industry

  • Marketing/PR experience is desirable
