Director, Sales - Legal & Compliance

The Director, Sales for the Legal and Compliance product lines is responsible for growing the Corporates Europe Legal and Compliance product lines by identify new revenue opportunities through new and existing customer channels. This role is accountable for delivering sales across their region of Thomson Reuters’ full line of Legal and Compliance products for our Corporates clients. The Director, Sales must foster collaboration across the various Thomson Reuters and Corporates Segment functional lines of business to develop sales strategies and enable the methodology required to maximize sales across a broad customer base. We are looking for a candidate with an entrepreneurial spirit who is comfortable with risk, highly customer-driven, ability to define a strategy and drive focused execution.

About the Role

As a Director, Sales at Thomson Reuters, you will:

*

Owning top-line sales metrics across Corporates Europe for all Legal and Compliance propositions sold to our Corporates Europe clients

*

Driving high-level prioritization and program/resource management through management of sales force and delivery of sales operations.

*

Coordinating with Marketing and Proposition teams to develop value proposition across the Legal and Compliance portfolio.

*

Developing the sales strategies for the organization and create a high-performing culture within the team

*

Creates a sales strategy that elevates and expand the relationships with Corporate offices across the customer base

*

Facilitates coaching of Sales Managers to lead their Sales Representatives and drive a high performance culture

*

Maintain active knowledge of competition and market.

Key Deliverables:

*

Delivery of target financial and strategy objectives for the Corporates Europe Legal and Compliance sales organization (e.g. gross sales [PY growth]); growth through cross-sell/up-sell, net new customer acquisitions, and product innovation (e.g. E/R ratio, client acquisition)

*

Refresh strategic workforce supported by active talent and succession pipeline (e.g. employee satisfaction); annual improvements in organizational effectiveness (client-centricity, customer approach, rapid decision making)

*

Accurate forecasting, customer evaluation and procurement reports; consistent achievement of sales quota, forecasted revenue, and unit targets; consistent update of all CRM systems / reporting on market and competitor activities

*

Client engagement with key clients to help drive the closure of complex deals

*

Presentations across internal meetings with other company functions necessary to perform duties and aid business development

About You:

To be our Director, Sales you will likely have/be:

*

Extensive global sales management experience, with specific experience within the B2B complex software solution sales environment and direct sales leadership

*

Strong operational and analytical skills with the ability to assess results and communicate trends and issues

*

Excellent client relationship management skills including influencing and building relationships with a wide range of stakeholders including senior management. Ability to communicate complex concepts to a broad audience.

*

Entrepreneurial approach, innovative, passionate, self-starter. Persistence despite obstacles or setbacks, comfort with ambiguity.

*

Flexibility in adjusting to new, different and changing business requirements and decisions. Ability to successfully lead in an agile environment

*

Demonstrable track record of recruiting, developing and retaining a high performing sales organization

*

An outside-in focus: outstanding end-customer relationship skills

*

Ability to understand and interpret fundamental workings and trends within target industry

*

Experience selling Legal and/or Compliance software and content solutions to corporations preferred
