Please note this role is 70% cold calling to non BT Customers and 30% Account management/upsell/cross sell to in-life customers.

Desk based Role.

* Responsible for the delivery of revenue and sales order value within UK SME from a defined portfolio of core BT products and services.
* Able to sell products, services and solutions across all segments of the UK SME customer base.
* Identify, develop and close sales through sustained prospecting and activity.
* Develop strong internal and external relationships delivering solutions to meet customer demands and requirements.
* Have clearly defined sales methodology & will be required to contribute towards the creation of credible sales plans.
* Keeping up to date with market developments & customer insight will be needed in order to contribute to the wider Field Sales strategy.

You'll have the following responsibilities

* Exceeding individual and team sales targets.
* Win and grow market share with existing and new customers
* Collaborates with and supports field based account executives through lead generation.
* Develop awareness of products and services from a specific BT portfolio.
* Utilising CRM systems to manage, forecast and develop sales opportunities and pipeline
* Following the latest trends and developments with the Market and providing valuable insight
* Sharing best practice with peers and the management team
* Responsible for creating pipeline of c.£5m Sales Order Value opportunities
* Focus of the role needs to be on future revenues

You'll have the following skills & experience

* Be tech savvy: Develops and contributes to knowledge of emerging technologies, how they're used in BT and in other organisations.
* Navigate digital: Uses knowledge of best practice to interact confidently and competently in the digital space.
* Be agile: Uses knowledge of best practice to work effectively with peers across BT.
* Give specialised advice: Offers advice and makes recommendations based on expertise, suggesting solutions and improvements. Become a ‘Trusted Advisor’ to business customers.
* Be creative: Broadens skills and knowledge base, learns and explores new ideas and influences others towards new ways of thinking
* Hold others to account: Understands expectations and manages themselves to high ethical and values standards. Will call out poor behaviour in others.
* Story-telling with data: strong skills in building the case for change and communicating this to business audiences.

Essential Criteria:

* Degree educated with a 2:1 classification or higher
* The ability to hit and exceed sales targets
* Excellent communication skills and a professional, consultative approach
* Highly organised and self-motivated and target driven
* Confident and excellent at objection handling
* Must be able to work under pressure
* Be an advocate and champion of our values. Personal, Simple, Brilliant.
* Minimum of 3 years’ experience in an outbound telecoms telesales role with and understanding of core products not limited to leased line, VOIP, Mobile, Cloud Services.
* Demonstrable track record of success in an outbound telesales environment.
* Experienced in calling at director level within SME and having a boardroom level conversation.

Desired Criteria:

* Telecoms background with an understanding of core products not limited to leased line, VOIP, Mobile and Cloud Services.
* Experienced in calling at director level within SME and having a boardroom level conversation.
* Sound business acumen and understanding of business strategy and key performance indicators.
* Experience in utilising CRM systems to capture information, management pipeline and forecast sales.
