• Responsible for the delivery of new customer acquisition and retention business revenue targets sales order value within a dedicated area from a defined portfolio of “core” BT products and services.

Able to sell products, services & bespoke solutions across all segments of the UK SME customer base.

• Identify, develop and close sales through sustained Prospecting and activity.

• Develop strong internal relationships delivering solutions to meet customer demands and requirements (Volume & Value).

• Have clearly defined sales methodology & will be required to contribute towards the creation of credible sales plans. Keeping up to date with market developments & customer insight will be needed in order to contribute to the wider Field Sales strategy. .

• Able to sell products, services & bespoke solutions across all segments of the UK SME customer base.

• Identify, develop and close sales through sustained Prospecting and activity.

• Develop strong internal relationships delivering solutions to meet customer demands and requirements (Volume & Value).

• Have clearly defined sales methodology & will be required to contribute towards the creation of credible sales plans. Keeping up to date with market developments & customer insight will be needed in order to contribute to the wider Field Sales strategy.

You'll have the following responsibilities

• Collaborates with and supports field based account managers and new business acquisition roles by providing technical product and service knowledge on request.

• Supports standard product sales opportunities and provides technical support as requested to advance offerings.

• Develops awareness of products and services from a specific BT portfolio.

• Achievement of individual sales targets

• Generate incremental cross portfolio sales opportunities via BT.Com enquiries

• Following the latest trends and developments with the Market and providing valuable insight

• Utilising the CRM databases to improve opportunity management and sales conversion

• Sharing best practice with peers and the management team

• Responsible for creating demand pipeline of c.£5m Sales Order Value opportunities

• Expected to convert opportunities to generate c.£1.65m SOV per DBAM role.

• Focus of the role needs to be on future revenues for BT i.e. Data networking, IP voice and Mobility

You'll have the following skills & experience

· Use data analytics: Uses knowledge and collection of data to support decisions. Delivers initiatives to improve data analytics in BT.

· Be tech savvy: Develops and contributes to knowledge of emerging technologies, how they're used in BT and in other organisations.

· Navigate digital: Uses knowledge of best practice to interact confidently and competently in the digital space.

· Be agile: Uses knowledge of best practice in agile and project management to work effectively with peers across BT .

· Give specialised advice: Offers advice and makes recommendations based on expertise, suggesting solutions and improvements.

· Be creative: Broadens skills and knowledge base, learns and explores new ideas and influences others towards new ways of thinking

· Hold others to account: Understands expectations and manages themselves to high ethical and values standards. Will call out poor behaviour in others.

· Stakeholder management

· Product knowledge

· Story-telling with data: strong skills in building the case for change, drawing on data and analytical techniques where appropriate, and communicating this to business audiences

· Business acumen: Knowledgeable in business strategy and the drivers of organisational performance, including people drivers of performance and financial literacy (e.g. business KPIs, business cases)

· Member of a professional body e.g. Institution of Engineering and Technology

Essential Criteria:

* Minimum of 3 years’ experience in an outbound telecoms telesales role with and understanding of core products not limited to leased line, VOIP, Mobile, Cloud Services.
* Demonstrable track record of success in an outbound telesales environment.
* Experienced in calling at director level within SME and having a boardroom level conversation.
* The ability to hit and exceed sales targets
* Excellent communication skills and a professional, consultative approach
* Highly organised and self-motivated to overcome challenging goals
* Confident and excellent at objection handling
* Must be able to work under pressure
