Dealer Fleet Coach – Automotive

They are looking for a high-performing Area Manager to join them in an established team delivering Dealer Fleet Coaching to dealerships selling Nissan vehicles to fleet and business customers. The role will be field-based, supporting c.14 dealerships around the UK, including Scotland. Due to COVID-19, the role is initially based and delivered from home, though there will be national travel involved once safe to do so.

You will liaise directly with the National Dealer Fleet Manager, as well as Heads of Business and Local Business Development Specialists, providing coaching, advice and support against the key objectives of Nissan’s fleet and business sales program. This is a busy and important role, vital to enable Nissan Dealerships to provide a first-class service to local SME customers.

Dealer Fleet Coach Responsibilities:

- Motivate and empower the Heads of Business / Dealer Principals to get the best out of the business development (B2B) program
- Support the Local Business Development Managers within dealerships in SME fleet prospecting and account management
- Support the development of the local B2B sales strategy
- Embed prospecting best practice, including standards, CRM and account management.
- Coaching and supporting Business Centres in their local business sales strategy
- Developing the performance of the fleet specialists in order to increase local business fleet sales
- Ensuring that Business Centres that are part of the program are engaged with standards, continuously improve and give customers a market-leading experience
- Supporting the Heads of Business and Local Business Development Managers in optimising the use of technology to facilitate the sales process
- Driving the fleet and business program to increase sales against the agreed volume targets within your assigned dealers.
- Producing and providing performance reports and insight to the National Dealer Fleet Manager for review with Nissan.

Dealer Fleet Coach Requirements:

- Considerable credibility in the automotive industry and a strong knowledge of fleet and business sales. A background in automotive OEM, Dealer Groups and/or broker business at regional level will be preferred
- Line-management experience, particularly with respect to coaching, motivating and supporting others
B2B sales experience, with a strong understanding of B2B sales prospecting, particularly through using CRM systems
- Exceptional customer service skills and a genuine ‘customer first’ approach
- Business planning skills; you should be comfortable writing realistic business plans and delivering them through others
- Excellent IT Skills, in addition to a working knowledge of Excel or similar sales management tools
