Customer Representative – £19,000 + Bonuses – Bristol, UK

The Role

We are currently looking for a Customer Representative to join our Bristol based team to assist in ensuring that projects are successfully delivered on time and within budget. This is an excellent opportunity to kick-start your career in a rapidly growing and dynamic company, with a generous bonus package coming on top of your basic salary.

The successful applicant will be responsible for answering incoming calls regarding faults and support queries, logging the details and assisting in resolving them. They will be skilled in building and maintaining excellent relationships with both clients and suppliers and will be responsible for recording and updating information accurately and in a timely manner.

The key responsibilities of a Customer Representative include, but are not limited to:

  • Supporting and managing internal systems, recording of accurate information onto internal systems and updating web-based and internal project monitoring systems
  • Creating the required documentation to support and assist the Sales team, the Technical team and clients, ensuring timely and accurate recording of all information
  • Establishing client requirements and converting them into proposals in line with targets and timescales, and procuring goods for project delivery
  • Liaising with internal and external stakeholders, including contract managers, technical managers and sub-contractors
  • Liaising with client project managers and contractors on a daily basis whilst keeping track of milestone stages, building excellent relationships with 3rd party suppliers, distributors and clients; and briefing customers on the status of current resolution efforts
  • Providing advice, solutions and technical support to clients, raising and resolving faults and queries by using effective diagnostic evaluation
  • Identifying any system service development opportunities

The key skills and qualities of a Customer Representative:

  • Excellent coordination skills with the ability to work under own initiative
  • A firm understanding of effective customer care process and wider impact on business
  • Excellent communications skills, with the ability to build and maintain strong and compelling relationships
  • Proven ability to work to deadlines
  • Excellent telephone manner with strong written and verbal skills
  • Knowledge and experience within the communications industry would be desirable though not essential
