Our client are looking for a proven and consultative business development professional to join their Commercial Partnerships team and generate income through developing strategic partnerships with external organisations.

You will be working for a professional accountancy body with over 150,000 members and a market leading reputation for excellent service to its members and partners in the accountancy space.

Our client were first established in the late 1800's and have since grown into a market leading professional body in the accountancy space.

They have over 150,000 members and are responsible for the regulation, education and development of the financial services profession.

Description

You will be part of a team responsible for generating income through developing strategic partnerships with external organisations, with a view to aligning their marketing and engagement objectives with our client's technical requirements and member demographic.

  • Identifying new business opportunities through new client acquisition and growth, spotting business opportunities and working with internal stakeholders
  • To generate, through partnerships, a set revenue target as well as owning budgets and P&Ls for key initiatives
  • To support and work with the Commercial Partnerships Account Management team on delivery of client programmes
  • Gain detailed understanding of your client's marketing and strategic objectives and to work with them to align with the business objectives in the form of a partnership
  • Lead the effort of setting and maintaining the quality of sales proposals and negotiation tactics including pricing strategy
  • Develop new commercial opportunities

Profile

  • You will have a proven track record in sales and business development, ideally forging corporate partnerships
  • You will ideally have a financial/professional services background
  • Professional body exposure is desirable but not essential
  • Ideally you will have had some exposure to the world of accounting
  • Events and exhibition experience is a plus also
  • Selling and influencing skills
  • Previous consultative sales experience
  • C-suite exposure

Ideally you will have been in a business/financial services sales role and have a consultative sales style.
