Commercial Manager – Architectural Ironmongery / Doorsets

Job Title: Commercial Manager – Architectural Ironmongery / Doorsets

Area to be covered:  London

Remuneration: £45,000neg + bonus & company benefits (will be provided a company car after a period of time)

The role of the Commercial Manager – Architectural Ironmongery / Doorsets will involve:

·         Commercial Manager position promoting a high quality range of manufactured architectural ironmongery, doorsets, access controls, handrails, balustrades and associated products

·         We will be working with / taking over from the current Senior Commercial Manager who is retiring from the business

·         Taking over the management on the external / internal sales team (3 direct internal sales reports from early on)

·         Will have your own revenue target and expected to generating business

·         Generating specification with architects

·         Following these projects through to completion via contractors

·         Managing any contractual issue that may arise

·         Identify with customers details of specific projects: budget, timescales, product requirements, alternatives, competition

·          Identify and follow up with key decision makers on projects and develop strong relationships to influence decisions

·         Gain market intelligence to compare and identify key differences and/or value engineer more price effective solutions

·         Identify where wider group, regional or national opportunities may occur and liaise with line manager about how these may be progressed

The ideal applicant will be Commercial Manager – Architectural Ironmongery / Doorsets with:

·         Must have experience in a commercial management position

·         Must be from an architectural ironmongery or doors product background

·         Ideally have man-management / leadership experience however would consider someone without it that’s looking to progress in their career

·         Ideally looking for a DIP GAI qualification

·         Must have experience dealing with contractual issues

·         Ideally have a demonstrable track record in generating specifications via end users and architects

·         Able to ensure specifications are not broken by managing projects through the main / sub contractors and end users

·         Able to sell on the basis of quality products and not on price

·         Must be capable of working autonomously

·         Credible, team player, relationship builder and self driven
