Excellent opportunity for a highly-experienced and enthusiastic Commercial leader to join Minky, one of the nation's favourite household consumer product brands. With the majority of our products manufactured in the UK we are now looking for a future leader in the business. We are particularly interested in meeting candidates with a strong academic profile, record of achievement in growing an FMCG / product-based manufacturing company and a strong and effective leadership style. Proven eCommerce strategy and execution experience is helpful.

Role Info:

Commercial Director / FMCG and eCommerce (MD Progression) – £50 Million Branded Household Products Leader
North Manchester + Travel Remote 1/2 Days Per Week | Excellent Salary & Benefits Package

Who we are:

We are a family owned branded producer of quality household consumer goods supplying leading multiple retailers including the Grocery sector and also direct to consumer via our fast-growing eCommerce activity. Our products are used in nearly every home in the UK and in many overseas countries also. We have an ambitious plan to significantly build upon our turnover both through the introduction of exciting new products and also by growing substantially our overseas markets.

Employing 400 worldwide but head-quartered in the UK, our unique business designs and manufactures innovative non-food products in several Manchester factories yet operates international bases in Europe, USA & China. We are already extremely well invested utilising some of the most modern technologies available including significant robotics installations.,

The Role:

This position represents an extremely rare opportunity brought about by the impending retirement of the long serving current incumbent. You'll be fully-supported and will work in collaboration with the company Chairman to both drive the company and your transition to Managing Director.

The ideal candidate:

Proven commercial leadership experience in a branded FMCG company is essential. Applicants must have strong commercial acumen and an understanding of consumer markets in a branded goods context. They would be personable, highly numerate and ideally have been exposed to both a manufacturing and retail business (mail order / wholesale / eCommerce)

The role will be North Manchester head office based, with travel to our local sites. Candidates from further afield will be considered with relocation required if outside a maximum 100 miles radius.
