Client Details

The client are a industry leader in their market looking for a Commercial Analyst who are based across England


As Commercial Analyst, you will support the identification of areas of commercial opportunity from market intelligence relevant to my client's growth strategy.

Your key responsibilities will include:

  • Identify trends and strategic direction of commissioners and markets based on internal and external analysis of business opportunity and highlight any commercial threats and opportunities.
  • Undertaking research as agreed with the departmental heads and director that supports commercial offers
  • Providing a strong and stable approach to reporting across teams that enables a clear measurement and communication of performance
  • To retain and manage information on competitors, local and national, informing business processes
  • Maintains and develops partnership databases, working with department heads to identify suitable partners for future joint work
  • Providing comprehensive performance statistics, analysis and understanding to better inform Directors of company's performance and areas of development.
  • Identify internal quality requirements for growth, and maintains and manages systems for evidencing the effectiveness of our service provision, and ensures that this is fed through into our commercial offers.
  • Reports on progress of department against performance KPI's.


The successful Commercial Analyst will have the following demonstrable skills:

  • Proven background in an analytical environment, preferably in research or marketing.
  • Have impeccable numerical skills
  • Advanced in Excel and data reporting.
  • Proficient with research systems and surveys like such as Nielsen, Telmar, RAJAR etc.
  • The ability to commission research from briefing stage, monitoring and interpretation and reporting of results.
  • Proven track record in information management and ownership work
  • The ability to work independently whilst also building strong relationships with key stakeholders
  • Excellent time keeping skills and ability to work to strict deadlines in a pressurised environment
  • Experience of data analysis techniques.
  • Thorough working knowledge of quality management and continuous improvement processes.
  • Excellent project management and report writing skills; oral and written communication skills, time management and administration skills.
  • Ability to build and maintain professional relationships with all levels, both internally and externally.
  • Ability to problem solve and identify creative solutions.
  • Strong interpersonal skills.
  • Credibility and integrity.
  • Ideally come from a Retail/ Marketing/ Research background
