Desk-based sales is a 500 strong sales team responsible for driving growth for SME through inbound and outbound calling and customer acquisition and retention activities. Our agents handle 30,000 customer interactions every week and deliver significant sales order value annually for Business and Public Sector. We are specifically looking to grow our digital sales team and we want you to be part of our journey!

Salary - starting pay £20,620 FTE + 30% on target bonus coupled with a generous accelerator program worth 16k extra per annum (subject to change)

Working hours are Monday to Friday 08:00 – 18:00

What you'll be doing

The successful candidate will be embraced into our Centre of Excellence, which is located in Glasgow. We have a highly engaged and motivated sales workforce who put the customer at the heart of everything that we do.

Our sales opportunities are initiated from a range of sources, predominantly LiveChat and Online Orders as well as internal leads. Inbound/Outbound calling always plays a key part in this role.

You’ll be:

* Delighting customers by delivering an exceptional level of service, you’ll be committed to exceeding their expectations.

* Demonstrating a commitment to getting the job done and keeping things simple for your customer.

* Use the correct working practices as detailed in training courses, process documents and job instructions.

* Actively participating with coaching and feedback on your own performance

* Ensuring interactions with customers and colleagues are respectful and courteous and represent BT in a professional way.

* Doing something challenging – we have big ambitions and set ourselves stretching sales objectives that contribute to our strategy.

* Helping us solve problems by participating with continuous improvement activities

We'll also need to see these on your CV

* Direct selling experience, preferably in the technology and SME market.

* Livechat/Rightnow experience is desirable.

* Inbound and outbound experience desirable

* Ability to convey meaning in the absence of vocal tone and facial expression

* Delivery against targets in a customer focused, sales environment.

* Outstanding communication skills

*

5 GCSE’s or equivalent is required, as a minimum candidates will require English and Maths literacy

*

Time management and multi-tasking are a key skill in the role
