Business Development Sales Manager

- Shrewsbury, Shropshire

This is an opportunity to join a fast growing, innovative company operating in the Staff Discount & Employee Benefits sector, committed to fast track growth and expansion. Their clients are some of the UK's largest public and private sector employers.

Reporting to the Operations & IT Director you will be responsible for negotiating national and local retail offers with both online and high street retailers, using existing affiliate networks and direct relationships.

You will work closely with colleagues across the organisation including their own in-house Marketing, Graphics and Web Development teams to ensure that the 400,000+ employees who have access to our employer platforms receive the very best discounts, cashback and services available.

Key Responsibilities
- Identify and build new affiliate partnerships; maintain existing relationships
- Identify and build partnerships with small local businesses who are not part of a network
- Strive to build and maintain direct relationships with large B2C retailers
- Manage relationships with B2B suppliers of gift cards and corporate perks
- Work with other teams to align affiliate/partnership marketing with other marketing activity
- Use key metrics to deliver monthly affiliate and partnership reports to senior management
- Provide actionable strategies to ensure maximum affiliate revenue
- Maintain knowledge across the industry, as well as network and affiliate tools and software

The Candidate
- Very confident making outbound calls to secure partnerships
- Proactive with strong planning, organisational and prioritisation skills
- Ability to multi-task and to work independently on multiple projects simultaneously
- Strong attention to detail
- To be able to work collaboratively and communicate effectively to the wider business
- A self-starter with the desire to constantly learn, grow and be the best you can be
- Graduate or 2 years of relevant experience

Experience (Beneficial, but not required)
- Building client relationships in order to manage affiliate and non network partners - which includes major brands within the B2C, eCommerce sector.
- Experience in setting up and managing an affiliates programme
- Experience in data analysis and reporting
- Experience working with creative teams to influence content and asset production to maximise performance
- Target driven sales experience
