If you have a proven track record in mechanical engineering sales and want to earn in excess of £60K as a financial package +full benefits, then this could be your next career move.

THE ROLE: The role of Business Development Sales Engineer will see you selling a range of mechanical products into OEMs. Your market place will consist of automotive, aerospace, military and defence, oil and gas, medical and industrial. As Business Development Sales Engineer for this forward-thinking business you will be dealing with various points of contacts ranging from design and specification engineers through to procurement teams. The Business Development sales engineering position on offer here is mainly New Business, so your remit will be to understand projects that are coming up and identify where you can make sales and offering technical solutions to your end user clients, all account won will be retained so that the role eventually becomes more account management focused.

THE PERSON: In order to be considered for the role of Business Development Sales Engineer you must have a proven track record in mechanical engineering sales. This experience may have been gained from being a time served engineer who has moved into sales or from working in a mechanical sales engineering position without the qualification. The ability to sell to engineers at all levels is required for this role, so you should be comfortable dealing with maintenance engineers through to design and specification engineers and be comfortable selling to the above market sectors. Your logical and organised approach to business will also make you an ideal candidate for our client to interview.

THE COMPANY: Established in the 1930s our client has gone from strength to strength. They are an established British manufacturer and are well established in their market. Due to growth they are looking to add to their successful and established sales team and to this end require a new sales engineer to cover the U.K with the ability to work from their head office on the South coast when needed.

THE PACKAGE FOR BUSINESS DEVELOPMENT SALES ENGINEER:
  • Salary: £40,000
  • Bonus £20,000 uncapped
  • Company Car: Yes

LOCATION: UK - This is an external sales role, but our client is looking for candidates commutable to their office on the South Coast
