About the role

The organisation is looking for a target-driven, empathetic and enthusiastic business development manager (BDM) to join its new business unit.

The business you'd be joining is dedicated to developing new technology that can make the advice experience not only more efficient for advisers, but also simpler, more satisfying and more rewarding for customers.

The role will be predominantly office based.

Essential job functions

Your primary function will be to generate new business by building, qualifying and converting a pipeline of prospective clients. This will involve:

  • Developing an intimate understanding of the target market, client needs and potential solutions
  • Identifying and testing new ways of finding leads who match their target market
  • Engaging with prospective clients, educating them around the company's proposition
  • Warming up and qualifying leads, before passing to senior colleagues for closing
  • Maintaining the CRM and sales pipeline with clear and informative notes
  • Identifying key trends of feedback and early obstacles to sale
  • Mentoring and training new BDMs

Specific skills and experience

Above all, the organisation is looking for someone who's friendly, energetic and principled, who loves forging new relationships and who's passionate about providing excellent customer experience that get clients over the line.

Desired Skills

  • Experience in a consultative B2C or B2B sales environment
  • Experience within the financial and/or professional services environment
  • Cold and warm calling experience and an ability to quickly build rapport at all levels
  • A desire to hit and beat set financial targets

Job Offer

A basic salary of up to £34,000 plus excellent bonus/commission and extensive company benefits including private health care, excellent pension scheme etc
