A software business offering an exceptional product suite to a range of verticals are looking to hire an outstanding Business Development Manager - Software to join their growth stage business. Operating from their West London office with flexibility to work from home, this is an exceptional opportunity for someone to progress their career and be an integral part of developing a new business unit.

Client Details

18 months ago my client developed two new, disruptive solutions. Following a lot of hard work they are on track to overachieve against target and grow faster than anticipated.

Both software solutions are unique. The first solution is a customer on-boarding solution assisting businesses to comply with AML and KYC requirements in regulated markets. This is a competitive market driven by legislation and ever increasing burden on businesses. My client has revolutionised this space through three bleeding edge innovations: reducing customer drop off through ease of on-boarding; facial recognition; and applying advanced learning across social media to identify deceptive patterns.

This is an Enterprise solution. They already have a major international retail bank adopting the software and others a POC.

Their second solution is a data visualisation tool. It enables deep dives into data, delivering meaningful and actionable insight, faster than other solutions of market. It's a visual search engine for their propriety database focusing on businesses, people and locations. As they prospect the market, they continue to find new use cases!

Customers are buying this tool to allow them to reduce time at investigation stages, reduce costs and in turn give them a competitive edge over competition.

As a start up with huge potential, my client is excited about what the future holds. Their leadership team has a wealth of experience within this industry, and are looking to develop employees to future proof themselves for the imminent expansion.

As a Business Development Manager - Software, you will be responsible for closing new business and managing a handful of existing accounts.

Sales cycles will scale in line with the size of the opportunity. You'll be able to take ownership of the market, selling £10,000-£500,000 annual subscriptions at senior levels, typically ending with C-suite. You will have a focus on developing strategic business within Tier 1 accounts, and fuelling pipeline with shorter cycles.

You will take ownership of the full 360 cycle, fully supported by marketing and SDRs.

My client is looking to further the careers of exceptional sales people. This is a complex solution which can address multiple pain points for multinational businesses. As such, my client is looking for people who have a successful track record in complex sales (e.g. SaaS, IT, consultancy etc). "Success" looks like people who devour targets!

Culture fit is key for this client. They have developed a strong internal culture with a collaborative and supportive team, all of whom are achieving. You'll need to be comfortable working in a rapidly changing environment.

Essential skills you should exhibit for this Business Development Manager - Software position:

  • Proven hunter selling a technology solution.
  • Consultative new business approach.
  • Able to evidence achievement against new business targets.
  • Hunter profile, with experience in 360 complex solution selling.
  • Full clean drivers license.
