Business Development Manager - Payments - Acquirers

Description:

The organisation is looking to recruit a highly motivated, dynamic and results oriented individual with a solution oriented business development approach and experience managing partnerships for mutual success.

Reporting to the CEO and the Chairman of the Board, the Business Development Manager will be responsible for developing and managing strategic client relationships.

On the acquiring side, their clients are merchants and PSP merchant aggregators. They are looking to develop a balanced portfolio of clients and are able to underwrite high risk merchants as well.

Key responsibilities and activities include:

  • Identify potential partners and develop pipeline of new clients
  • Attract a new portfolio clients, leading contractual negotiations, implementation, development, performance and retention of portfolio clients
  • Manage key strategic clients, working in a consultative manner to retain and grow the account and create loyalty
  • Eventually manage a team of junior sales people, ensure high level of customer satisfaction
  • Maximise revenue opportunities by building a deep client relationship and by being accountable for creating and delivering strategic and tactical account plan initiatives
  • Cooperate with internal project teams to optimise the sales process from first customer contact and working closely with Operations and Client Services teams to assure service levels and deliver service solutions
  • Undertaking periodical account reviews and monitoring the commercial performance of each client within the portfolio

Requirements:

The successful candidate will need to be goal oriented, able to work independently and to demonstrate a high level of energy and enthusiasm. We would expect the candidate to:

  • Have a deep understanding of the competitive landscape, business environment and industry dynamics
  • Have a proven track record onboarding and retaining relationships with merchants and PSP merchant aggregators
  • Have a strong sales/account management background with auditable track record in the industry
  • Be able to communicate clearly (both verbally and in writing) and build and maintain trusted and collaborative relationships with people at all levels across an organisation
  • Have experience in selling complex solutions to senior executives across mid to large-size organisations and managing large customer accounts and partnerships
  • Have a flexible and adaptable attitude in order to be able to work on different projects simultaneously, and respond quickly to changing priorities

Job Offer

A basic salary of £70,000 - £80,000 plus excellent uncapped commission and company benefits.
