Business Development Manager – Offsite Construction / Modular Buildings

Job Title: Business Development Manager – Offsite Construction / Modular Buildings

Area to be covered: National

Remuneration: £50,000-£60,000 (depending on experience) + bonus    

Benefits: Car allowance and exceptional benefits package

The role of the Business Development Manager – Offsite Construction / Modular Buildings will involve:

·         Field sales positions securing high value projects of offsite modular building construction and main contracting packages including integrated building services

·         Majority of your time will be spent getting specified with senior local authorises, large housing developers, architects, large in house specifiers and large end users

·         Will be a smaller element of liaising with main contractors / sub-contractors

·         Negotiating a with wide ranging high order values projects ranging from around £1- £50m this average projects ranging from £5-£10m  

·         Once embedded into the business you will be expected to generate around £10-20m million turnover per annum

·         Typical projects include: Student Accommodation, Military, Education, Healthcare, Residential, Commercial, Hotels

·         Predominantly concentrating on generating new business relationships, however will be required to manage some existing business

·         Liaising internally with support teams including, tenders, marketing, estimating, quotations, manufacturing and construction teams

·         Territory will cover nationally however will focus on the major conurbations London, Birmingham and Manchester

 

The ideal applicant will be Business Development Manager – Offsite Construction / Modular Buildings with:

·         Must have a demonstrable track record in sales of offsite building solutions / services, modular buildings, modular construction with specific focus on the education market sector 

·         Must have a demonstrable track record selling to / getting specified with senior local authorises, large housing developers, architects, large in house specifiers and large end users

·         Must have experienced in negotiating major multimillion “big ticket” project sales dealing with the bid process through to contract award alongside the internal backup and support

·         Must have strong understanding of the construction process and ideally building regulations

·         Must be comfortable with generating new business relationships / business

·         Strong relationship builder and demonstrable track record of sales success

·         Ideally have strong understanding the sales process when selling to local authorities
