A huge part of the job is education around the product to the partners the end user.
The Business Development Manager will be someone who is confident to build the relationships they already have by getting involved internally with the sales teams, purchasing departments etc and also approaching new contractors / end users to generate interest in the Agriculture, manufacturing, remote site environments.
New customers that the Business Development Manager will target include Off-Grid environments, agriculture being the most obvious. My client is looking for someone who has a history in selling capital equipment such as generators, battery storage, renewable or alternative power. Off- Grid knowledge would be a distinct advantage.
Knowledge of the power industry is preffered but far from required, the company will supply all necessary training to understand the product.
It's expected that the new Business Development Manager hits the ground running, setting up meetings with relevant customers where they would be fully supported by an existing experienced sales person from within the company if required.
The job is home based but they encourage the Business Development Manaager to come to the office when no meetings have been arranged to gain further product knowledge and training and to also get to know the team.
