They are now looking for a Business Development Manager to help in the next phase of their growth.

nextbike is the European market leader in Bike Sharing. Every day, they enable more and more people to share a bike and make cycling a natural part of urban mobility. As industry pioneers, they've been developing and conceptualizing sustainable bike sharing systems for more than 14 years. Currently, they are active in nearly 200 cities worldwide including Berlin, Warsaw, Glasgow, Dubai, and Pittsburgh.

In the UK, they have schemes in London, Bath, Stirling, Glasgow, Swansea, University of Surrey, Milton Keynes, Cardiff, and University of Warwick, and will be launching in Portsmouth, West Midlands, and University of Brunel soon. They are looking for a Business Development Manager to solidify their current systems and create a strong foundation for their future systems. The job will be based from London but will require travel throughout the country.

Description

  • Manage all business patterns and clients;

  • Lead internal sponsorship efforts for new schemes. This could include both high level Title Sponsorships and bottom-up Community Based Sponsorships;

  • Create and present customized presentations/offers to potential clients of all different levels;

  • Contribute to concept development for innovative sponsorship/sales and marketing strategies

  • Develop and maintain close relationships with current and potential partners and clients;

  • Represent and promote nextbike at events and conferences;

  • Collaborate closely with their sales back-office team, city operation teams, and the business development team.

Profile

They are looking for someone with the right attitude and energy! They are a small and dynamic team and work closely together to accomplish their goals. You need to be flexible and ready to roll your sleeves up to be able to keep up with this fast changing market.

Ideally, you:

  • Have a proven track record in a sales/business development role

  • Perform well under highly stress situations

  • Enjoy working in a fast paced environment

  • Are a confident and outgoing individual

  • Have strong communication skills, verbally and written
