The UK subsidiary of a well known worldwide investment manager is looking for a European Market focused business Development Manager to join their team in London.

Client Details

Business Development Manager - Investment Management

Based in the city of London, the client is a UK subsidiary of a global active investment manager, covering a wide range of asset classes including equities, fixed incomes and alternatives. Their tradition focus is on Japanese and Asian Equity products.

The Organisation has offices worldwide and manage assets on behalf of financial institutions, pension funds, government agencies and retail investors.

The UK based Subsidiary itself is a relatively small office with around 20 - 25 members of staff.


Business Development Manager - Investment Management

Primary responsibility:

Pro-active Business Development across the European market

Principal Duties:

  • Development of new business regarding the company's investment strategy/product with the prospective and existing clients across the European markets.
  • This role involves full 360 sales.
  • Conducting business development calls, meeting with prospective clients via Skype and face to face, conducting necessary due diligence, pitching products and closing.
  • Provide clients with on-going updates on the markets, investment strategies and products.
  • Work closely with the Tokyo Investment Team in business development efforts.
  • Contribute to improvement of product presentations and questionnaires.
  • Adhere to the standards set out by the relevant UK and European authorities.


Business Development Manager - Investment Management

  • Strong business development experience within the asset management industry.
  • At least 4 years experience within the financial services sector
  • Broad understandings of fund business in Europe (particularly UCITs fund) as well as segregated account marketing.
  • Self-starter who takes ownership of workload with hands-on approach

Fluency in French is strongly preferred

Job Offer

A basic Salary of £60,000 - £70,000 plus bonuses and benefits
