Business Development Manager - International Consultancy Firm

Main purpose of the job

The BDM will focus on the generation of new business accounts, through face-to-face sales and networking, to help grow revenues. This will require a diverse range of skills that will see the BDM liaising with Marketing to brainstorm campaigns, meeting with Production to assess the status of live projects, working with Finance to determine profit levels on engagements, and connecting with the Market Place to analyse areas of opportunity.


  • Self-generation of sales pipeline and active management of sales cycle
  • Regular meetings with prospective clients
  • Analysis of financial and corporate data to prospect and identify areas of opportunity
  • Regular interaction with internal clients to ensure successful project delivery
  • Maintain a working knowledge of and familiarity with the workings, detail, and implementation of UK R&D Tax Relief legislation, guidelines and HMRC practice
  • Accurate CRM entry and pipeline forecasting

Job Offer

A basic salary of £35,000 - £40,000

Car allowance of £4,000
