The Role: The Business Development Manager will be tasked with growing a new division of this company. This role will start out as 100% new business, whilst there will be some incoming leads you will be expected to self-generate all of your own appointments through cold calling, cold emails, utilising social media and gaining referrals. The products that you will sell can benefit any business in any market, anywhere in the UK and as such you must be organised and strategic, you will be expected to take responsibility and autonomy for deciding which companies/sectors you target and where. Once you have won business from a prospect you will retain that relationship, the sales process can be anything from 1 - 2 months and whilst this position is a field based role you are expected to be occasionally visible at the Head Office in Luton.

  • Must have succeeded in a 100% new business role where you have had to develop a region or market from a standing start
  • Candidates that have sold a technical product or those that have been educated to A-Level or achieved a degree in a Science related discipline may have an advantage
  • ORGANISED, credible, well presented and driven are the characteristics we are looking for
  • Driving license
