Position Summary

This role is to oversee all aspects of event planning and management for AXELOS including internal and external events, with experience planning exhibitions and large business-to-business events.

The role requires experience of working in an assessment and certification business both in the UK but also internationally.

A key aspect to the role will be to work with the Partner Account Management Team to bring focus to our drive to launch AXELOS products and identify relevant training organisations in new international markets linked to our core strategy of growth in new and existing markets and channels.

Key Role – Specific Deliverables

* Work with various senior teams across AXELOS to create event proposals which fit requirements including highlighting return on investment, alignment to business objectives and personnel to be involved; and present proposals to management for approval
* Manage annual events calendar
* Carries out research projects linked to event attendance recommendations
* Maintain a good working relationship with all vendors and venues including sourcing the most appropriate venues for AXELOS hosted events. Must have a good knowledge of venues particularly in London.
* Maintain and manage a good working relationship with Capita Travel & Events
* Plan all event aspects, including venue, seating, dining, and guest list
* Delegate event planning tasks to other staff members where necessary
* Coordinate event entertainment, including music, performers, and guest speakers
* Remain in budget while planning event specifications
* Issue invoices and PO’s in a timely manner, and create comprehensive and readable financial reports
* Manage and oversee events on site where necessary, including problem-solving, welcoming guests, directing event set-up, communicating with staff, and organising vendors
* Communicate with marketing team to create effective messaging, promotion and impact for each event, and where necessary craft marketing materials for individual events
* Create end of event reports to capture feedback and review return on investment of events producing detailed data and graphs as necessary
* Anticipate and plan for various scenarios to ensure smooth running of each event
* Create sales opportunities for future events during client liaisons and during events, including possessing a strong working knowledge of the company to further these sales opportunities
* Work with Partner Account Management to identify ATO’s to work with around events.
