They do this by helping organisations optimise their risk-based decisions and enabling consumers to understand and manage their personal information.

Their Business Development Managers sell complex, high value solutions and services as well as planning, facilitating complex negotiations, typically over a long sales cycle to reach long-term agreements and commitments.

Key Responsibilities

• Achieve an annual revenue target within the Debt, Utilities & Telco sector
• Produce professional and compelling material to support sales pitches
• Personally lead, manage and run the sales process, bringing in additional resource as required
• Develop a strong personal network of contacts to continually be aware of the market, both clients and competitors, and provide valuable information back into the business

Key tasks

• Manages some high profile accounts spanning broad geographic areas, representing significant revenue and having diverse and complex needs.
• Subject matter expert in an aspect of business, financial, products/services, the market and the needs of assigned accounts.
• Negotiates and manages the contracting process between TransUnion & client organisations.
• Identifies, builds and develops relationships with key stakeholders to maximise revenue opportunities.
• Manages and develops the business relationships for a number of strategic and/or large, complex allocated accounts and prospects to achieve revenue targets.
• Identifies market opportunities for new products and solutions, building a business case, and championing through the product development process.
• Ensures there is an effective and seamless hand-over to project management and delivery teams.
• Contributes to the implementation of marketing activities and business development initiatives.
• Manages and build a revenue pipeline that records and tracks all self-generated and assigned revenue opportunities, which will be used for prioritising sales activity and corporate forecasting.
• Provides comprehensive contact reporting and revenue pipeline information into the CRM system.
• Acts as a trusted advisor, becoming integral to the planning processes of each client, prospect, partner or agency by thoroughly understanding their respective business objectives.
• Owns the production of documented responses to invitations to tender in an effective and timely manner.
• Collaborates with other colleagues across all vertical sectors to maximise revenue.
• Collaborates with TransUnion staff to achieve the highest levels of customer service.

Experience required:

Extensive experience of working in a client facing, strategic sales role within Credit Bureau or selling complex solutions to the Debt, Utilities & Telco sector

Educated to degree level

Valid UK driving license

You may have experience of the following: BDM, Business Development Manager, Sales Manager, Field Sales Manager, New Business Development, Account Manager, etc.
