Are you a Field based Business Development professional from either an air quality systems,environmental packages, environmenal monitoring or atmospheric testing background or even sells technical products looking for an exciting and expanding business? If so then our client based in the East Midlands is looking to develop their sales team. You will assist the company in achieving its business objectives and revenue targets by developing and expanding the business within the M25 geographic territory.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Act upon enquiries generated through the Company's various promotional activities and administer their status through the appropriate channels and systems.
  • Promote products to potential customers in target applications through extensive telephone contact and customer visits and develop ongoing business
  • Provide activity feedback i.e.: daily visit and telephone activity, weekly visit summaries, monthly sales forecasts, on a timely basis to Manager
  • Feedback customer suggestions/complaints/queries
  • Cross selling of the technical products to the end user wherever possible.
  • Acquire and maintain up to date product knowledge and competitive information on products/prices to fulfil customer needs.
  • Understand user needs by sector and feedback into the business to assist with future product and design development
  • Attend trade shows and seminars and other promotional activities, taking responsibility for the organisation of equipment and materials, when required and promote products to new and current customers
  • Ensure that sufficient demonstration equipment is on hand to make effective product demonstrations; that it is kept in good condition and that item loaned to third parties are correctly documented

Skills required

  • Positive, strong, inter-personal skills.
  • Must be highly self-motivated.
  • An 'A' level in a science subject is essential
  • Proven ability in effectively managing an assigned territory independently.
  • Previous field sales experience is not essential but desirable
  • Strong English language skills, written and spoken word.
  • Excellent communication skills when dealing with colleagues and customers at all levels.
  • Good organisational skills including the ability to prioritise and work under pressure
  • Cultural Awareness.
